ERIC AND LAKEN GOLDEN

LEAD PASTORS

Eric and Laken Golden have been in ministry for many years, serving in a variety of positions. Before accepting the position of Lead Pastors at Lakeview, they had served, most recently, as Lead Pastors and Worship Leaders in Lenoir City. Their variety of experience in the local congregation and outreach to the community has equipped them with a heart of servanthood. Their most important ministry, however, has been to each other and their three children, Kaelynn, Kerry, and Kenna.

Their pentecostal heritage has birthed in them a desire to see people experience God for themselves. They have a strong desire to see people growing in their relationship with the Lord by having a personal experience with the Word and Spirit of God.

Upon their appointment as Lead Pastors, they stated, “We are incredibly honored to serve the people of Cleveland and to serve alongside the wonderful people of Lakeview. Our desire is simply to see where God is working and to join Him in that work.”

“Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” - Matthew 28:19

SIERRA AND ANTHONY CHESS

CHILDREN’S PASTORS

Sierra and Anthony Chess have a unified vision to lead each child in the direction of the Lord. They have worked together in Lakeview’s children’s ministry for five years, and Sierra has worked in children’s ministry since she was thirteen years old while being trained under pastoral guidance. They want to ensure that each child is loved no matter who they are or where they have been.

Sierra will soon graduate with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and pursue earning a masters degree in hopes to further her education in child psychology and better serve the children of the church. She plans annual events for the children’s ministry, such as Lakeview’s vacation bible school program, in hopes of planting seeds of the gospel in their souls that will never leave them. Their overall vision is to grow the children’s ministry and church by teaching students the truth of God’s Word and raising them up to be strong leaders of tomorrow.

CHIP AND CANDICE ATHA

Chip and Candice Atha have been teaching music and leading worship together for the past 20 years.  They have 2 children, Charley and Caitlyn.  In addition to leading worship at Lakeview, both are local music teachers.
Chip and Candice started their ministry together while at Lee University, as part of Lee Singers.  After college they continued traveling and ministering in song, and then served on the worship team and as youth choir directors at North Cleveland Church of God, and then later were Worship Pastors at Heritage Fellowship Church of God.
Lakeview Community has become their new home, and they are so delighted for the opportunity to lead worship with an amazing team of volunteers and musicians.
